  2. 2

Mix the sugars, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl.

FAQ

How long do candied pecans stay fresh?+
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or freeze them for up to 3 months. They'll stay crispy as long as you keep them away from moisture.
Can I make candied pecans ahead of time?+
Yes, you can make them up to 2 weeks in advance and store them in an airtight container. They're actually a great make-ahead treat for holiday gift-giving or entertaining.
What can I substitute for pecans in this recipe?+
Walnuts, almonds, or cashews work great as substitutes and bake in about the same time. You can also use a mix of different nuts if you prefer.
Why are my candied pecans not crispy?+
Make sure you're stirring them every 15 minutes during baking so they dry out evenly, and avoid opening the oven door too often. Also, store them in an airtight container only after they've cooled completely—any residual heat creates steam that makes them soggy.
